On the 2nd to 6th of October 2023, the 7th International Climate Change Adaptation Conference (Adaptation Futures 2023) took place in Montreal, Canada.
Over 1,500 members of the climate change adaptation community from around the world gathered in Montreal to share their knowledge on the challenges and opportunities of adaptation during the 7th edition of the Adaptation Futures international conference. During these five days, comprised of nearly 180 sessions, participants and attendees had the opportunity to share ideas, experiences, and innovative solutions for confronting the climate crisis and preparing for its impacts.
Adaptation Futures has as an aim to intensify the risk reduction efforts, change the current practices, update the inadequate public policies, and increase finance for climate change adaptation, to secure a resilient future.

AUTH colleagues attended Adaptation Futures 2023 and participated in the International Forum on Agroecosystem Living Labs #IF-ALL. They had, also, the opportunity to discuss about the lessons learned and the opportunity perspectives from past and ongoing agroecosystem living labs (LLs) across the globe, including Canada, Uruguay, and the US!
Mr Achilleas Zalidis, had the pleasure to present the work and vision of Spectra Lab, AUTH and also the opportunity to share their ideas on establishing a food resilience Living Lab that will link soil health with food sustainability as part of their reserach work within THEROS Horizon Europe project.
