The THEROS 5th and Final Plenary Meeting took place on 1 December 2025 in Athens, Greece, in a hybrid format combining in-person and online participation, bringing together all 17 consortium partners to review progress from project months 30 to 36 and prepare for the final stages of project reporting.
Organized by ICCS and SEAB, the meeting focused on assessing the status of active work packages, coordinating the submission of the remaining deliverables, and orchestrating the project’s final reporting. Dr. Angelos Amditis, THEROS coordinator, welcomed the consortium and delivered the opening speech, towards highlighting the project’s key achievements.
The event also provided an overall review of the project’s journey, with remarks from the Project Officer (Ms Maud Evrard) and a dedicated session on exploitation activities and the market-entry preparation plan for THEROS solutions.
The core of the meeting centered on four pilot demonstrations showcasing how the integrated toolbox can support verification and prevention of adulteration and non-compliance in different organic and geographical indication food supply chains: processed quality-labelled food products in Serbia, geographical indication products in Spain, fresh/bulk organic agri-commodities in Greece, and a data-driven business model for food fraud prevention in the Czech Republic.
Discussions concluded with a presentation of the evaluation methodology, stakeholder feedback, and the uptake potential of THEROS results, followed by final remarks in view of the project’s final review.
