We are excited to share that the THEROS project has been featured in a recently produced film, by OCS, that highlights the importance of organic products and addresses the issue of greenwashing.

Ms. Svetlana Vitomirovic from OCS, representing THEROS, actively participated in the film* and showcased the project’s innovative technological solutions aimed at preventing fraud in organic production and Geographical Indications (GI) products.

During her contribution, she emphasized how THEROS is enhancing transparency and trust in organic certifications.

One of the key solutions presented in the film is the integration of QR codes on products. These QR codes will allow consumers to access detailed product information, particularly certification details, ensuring informed purchasing decisions. Additionally, Svetlana highlighted the role of Earth observation, satellite technology, and IoT sensors in assisting inspectors during on-site evaluations. These advancements will significantly improve the traceability process and strengthen the entire supply chain.

By implementing these modern technological tools, THEROS aims to enhance producer inspections and reinforce consumer confidence in the authenticity of organic and GI-certified products.
