The seafood industry is facing a major shift as the EU introduces new traceability regulations set to take effect in 2026 and 2029. These changes will impact businesses, policymakers, and stakeholders across the value chain, requiring adaptation to new compliance and traceability requirements.
As part of the SEA2SEE project, the EU Cluster for Food Traceability and Trust organised an interactive webinar that brought together policy representatives and industry experts to discuss the evolving legal framework, its implications, and the challenges and opportunities ahead.
