The 4th International Organic Fest, held in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 27th and 28th September 2024 under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, forestry and water management of Republic of Srpska.
The event featured 20 individual exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia showcasing a variety of organic agricultural products. Numerous stakeholders from the region participated in the event.
THEROS attended the event through its partner OCS, who participated in engaging discussions, sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues in the field of organic production.
Within this event a number of workshops on organic farming took place, featuring speakers from organic certification bodies. The sessions addressed challenges and opportunities in organic agriculture, including certification processes, market development, EU compliance, low consumer awareness, and climate change, emphasising the need for government support and collaboration among stakeholders for sustainable growth.
